Haven't stayed at the hotel, so this is solely for passing stops. Staff service was great, and pub looked lovely and the playground was brilliant, and thats where it ends. My family and I stopped at the hotel/pub for a break with the children as it looked very appealing and a nice stop to have a coffee—oh, how i was wrong; i've never in my life tasted such a disgusting flat white! I had a mouthful, and i couldn't even stomach it. It was like either the milk was off, or the coffee was re-used/wrotten. I tried another sip and had to leave it, i don't know what they use for coffee, but i'd highley re-consider ordering one if you like a coffe as much as i do!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay. This is such a lovely hotel, our evening meal was perfect and cooked breakfasts are excellent, the staff and service we received are faultless we will definitely be returning thank you very much 😊 x

Recently stayed at Jack & Jill for our wedding in Danby. We booked all the rooms out for us & wedding guests. The staff were incredibly helpful and made everyone feel welcome. All the guests were very complimentary of the hotel and kept saying how happy they were with their room and how nice the place was. Breakfast was great, again everyone really pleased. The hotel also accommodated us with a Continental breakfast to take away on the morning of the wedding as we (Bride&groom) was unable to dine there on that morning. Mini golf & park was also a great hit with the kids. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a delightful mix of ancient and modern. Staff hugely polite, friendly, and courteous. Room was lovely but no wardrobes or drawers, just a designated area on the wall with hooks and hangers. Self-closing doors slamming shut at all hours spoilt it for me. If you sleep like the dead you'll be ok otherwise be warned.

We have just got back from 3 nights at Jack and Jill and I honestly cannot fault a single thing. We had a party of 20 people as we were getting married nearby, so had all the rooms booked. The staff could not have been more lovely and accommodating. I have to make a special mention to Keith. He was on shift throughout our stay and was so attentive and accommodating. I think we asked him for about a million things during our stay and he was able to support with absolutely everything, especially on the morning of the wedding which was pretty hectic. He is an absolute credit to this place and we cannot thank him enough. All the other staff we encountered were amazing also! The rooms are fantastic, the food was incredible (huge portion sizes), and the facilities on site (playground and 18 hole mini golf) kept our child guests occupied all weekend. I honestly can't praise this place enough and we will be back for dinner the next time we are in the area. It was a fantastic place to stay and enjoy our wedding weekend. Thank you so so much!

First time at the pub, great, friendly service. Food was freshly cooked and tasted good! They serve all the usual food you'd expect including breakfast and a Sunday roast - both of which we will be trying! Dogs are allowed outside! Looking forward to visiting again soon and telling family all about it.

Hidden gem!! Great food, including full Sunday dinner and kids menu. Great service. Top quality decor. Fantastic kids play area, and brilliant 18 hole crazy golf!! Lovely walk around the reservoir. Highly recommended!!

Stopped for a family meal here whilst camping nearby. Good portion sizes (excellent chips) and staff were very attentive and welcoming, the food was good but not amazing. Only two beers/ales on draft and surprised to find out they stop serving food so early, 6pm on some days. Playground outside was excellent for kids to runaround with pretty decent size beer garden for a drink and a game of table tennis if you fancy it.

A very friendly pub with excellent food and drink. Outside, there's also a good play area and a very imaginative 'crazy golf' site (for an extra fee)

I rarely comment negatively but sorry I must on this ocassion, my starter lambert with sourdough was cold inside ,the main sasuage and mash , mash bland and not appetising, sausages no taste , . My husband liked his soup tomato had to ask for butter which was frozen when brought to us, liked his steak pie with chips but they took away all the salt and pepper and other condiments,.I'm sorry but felt I had to comment as not a cheap meal

We are on holiday here and have driven past this pub a couple of times. We had spent some time at the beach and decided to go for dinner. We arrived just before 6pm but they had stopped serving food. I find it strange that a pub so close to a tourist spot closes so early! Especially in the height of summer, it's a shame really, as it is supposed to have an adventure golf inside. We left when we realised no food was available.

We came for a meal this evening, having noted on the website (and also the menus displayed on the bar) that food service on a Wednesday night is until 6. We arrived at the bar at 5.46pm, to be told that we had missed food service which apparently stopped at 5.45pm. The lady behind the bar did not have a welcoming attitude, and became argumentative when we pointed out that food service is advertised until 6pm. This was very disappointing as we had been looking forward to a meal, and to be met with such a hostile attitude does not encourage us to want to come back another time.

This pub looks great but had zero atmosphere when we visited. We felt really uncomfortable sat having a drink. They didn't have a very good selection of ales/beers either. I've driven past and the car park looks full but I can't understand why, it is definitely not for us.

What a find! We hadn’t pre-looked, just popped in to see if they could give us a room. The staff were lovely, polite and very friendly, the room was amazing, very clean and well equipped. The price was very reasonable for room and a fantastic breakfast. We couldn’t fault it on any level. Would highly recommend it.

Booking . Com told us about this hotel being located in Saltburn on sea. It is 20 minutes away. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. A served until quite late, a pleasant change. We had a few issues with heating, but not a deal breaker. The room was a family room and quite spacious. Over all we were happy. Good views across the Lake.
